Dr. Mayes
Responsibilities
Dr. Mayes provides primary eye care in the Moore office for Eye Care Oklahoma. She performs comprehensive eye examinations, glasses prescriptions, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and treatment of minor ocular emergencies.
Education
Dr. Mayes received her O.D. degree at the Northeastern State University College of Optometry. She completed her externship in ocular disease at the Muskogee VA hospital.
Research
Dr. Mayes participated in a research project studying the visual disorders associated with learning disabilities and optometric tests used for diagnosing these conditions. She also participated in a research project studying the visual outcomes and success of fitting popular brands of soft bifocal contact lenses.
Professional Affiliations
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians, and was actively involved in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development as a student.
