All medical health eye examinations at Eye Care Oklahoma include tests for glasses, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eyes, macular degeneration, and other corneal and retinal disorders. (Note: If filing medical health insurance, a prescription for glasses may be provided at an additional fee.) Our measurements aim to provide sharp distance vision as well as comfortable computer and near vision without eyestrain or headaches.
If you are experiencing:
- Blurred vision
- Eyestrain when working on the computer
- Headaches
- Difficulty focusing when reading for prolonged periods of time
- Double vision
- Burning or dryness
Please contact our office for a complete eye examination.
If you schedule a complete examination, expect to be dilated during your examination. This blurs your near vision and makes you light sensitive for a few hours. Some people are comfortable driving after they have been dilated, while others require a driver. If you are unsure or think you may need a driver, please arrange this for your safety and comfort.
COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL AND VISION EXAM: $89
Includes glasses prescription, glaucoma screening, and dilated ocular health evaluation.
REFRACTION AND PRESCRIPTION FOR GLASSES: $20
If you are filing medical health insurance for your exam, most insurances do not cover a refraction for glasses. If you are requesting a refraction and prescription for glasses, this fee is your responsibility. Vision insurances do cover this service and it will be filed with your exam fees.
CONTACT LENS EXAM AND FITTING: New Patient: $168-$209 Established Patient: $118-$168*
These are self-pay prices and do not include insurance. Includes a comprehensive dilated exam, a prescription for glasses, plus a contact lens prescription and a trial pair of lenses-- the extra contact lens servicing fee is determined by changes made in prescription and is not covered by many vision insurances. Please contact our contact lens technician Debbie Noble if you have any questions regarding our contact lens fees.
Note: Contact lenses are a medical device and require careful evaluation, appropriate wear and care of lenses, and yearly follow-up visits (more often if lenses are worn overnight). Always follow your doctor’s instructions for your optimum eye health.
